A 20-year-old male patient presented to the hospital in hypotensive shock following a road traffic accident. A whole body CT scan showed a tear in the Aorta 2 cm distal to the origin of the left subclavian artery. These findings are consistent with rupture of the outer secondary to the high velocity injury.
A 28 mm X 10 cm long stent graft was placed across thesegment that was injured. Postoperative angiogram showed good results with no further filling of the pseudoaneurysm. The patient made an unremarkable recovery and was discharged 2 weeks later.
